Photos and evaluations from weeks 4-6

Dear Families,

We’ve had an exciting and eventful couple of weeks here at DEBASCA, filled with engaging activities, teamwork, and lots of fun!

With the cooler mornings and less humid afternoons, outdoor play has been a highlight. The children have enjoyed a variety of sports and group games, making the most of the pleasant weather. From soccer matches and obstacle courses to  free play, it’s been fantastic to see their energy and enthusiasm outdoors.

Indoors, our older students in the Stage 3 room have been thrilled with the arrival of new games, including Bop It, Guess Who?, Exploding Kittens, and Uno No Mercy. These games have sparked excitement and encouraged strategic thinking, teamwork, and inclusivity. It’s been wonderful watching students explain the rules to their peers and ensure that everyone is involved. The popularity of these games has shown us how valuable it is to refresh and rotate our activities regularly.

For our younger children, we have focused on fostering creativity and problem-solving through hands-on craft activities, dramatic play, and sensory experiences. They’ve particularly enjoyed themed art projects, storytelling sessions, activities that encourage curiosity and exploration.

Cooking activities have also been a hit, allowing students to develop practical skills while working together to prepare delicious snacks. These sessions not only provide a fun and educational experience but also encourage teamwork, patience, and healthy eating habits.

As always, we are so proud of the way our students support and include one another in all activities. Their enthusiasm, kindness, and growing independence continue to make DEBASCA a wonderful space for learning and play.

We look forward to another fantastic few weeks ahead!

Kind regards,

Kirsty.

Educational Leader.
